(Photos) Egypt Tourism Authority has announced Celina Jaitley as the brand ambassador of Egypt tourism. This event was held at the World Trade Centre on March 28th 2008. The Authority has announced the appointment of the famous Indian actress, Celina Jaitley as its Brand Ambassador, to endorse the unique attributes of the tourism brand and of the country. The Chairman of the Egyptian Tourism Authority Mr. Amerl El Ezaby made this announcement.
Mr. Amerl El Ezaby, Chairman, Egyptian Tourism Authority said, “The appointment of Ms. Celina Jaitley as our brand ambassador to represent Egypt in India is a major step in taking the brand forward and in promoting our social-cultural aspects. We are very happy to have associated with Celina and we are keen to leverage this relationship in strengthening Brand Egypt in India. We do believe that her vivacious personality compliments the vibrant and mystic beauty of Egypt and her beauty truly represents the spirit of our campaign tagline – nothing compares.â€
Commenting on her association with Egypt Tourism, Celina Jaitley said, “It is a great honour to be associated with Egypt, the land that has been witness to some of the world’s most glorious times and history. I thank Egypt Tourism for choosing me to represent the Land of The Pharaohs, as their brand ambassador for India. It is indeed a proud and happy moment for me as I have always been fascinated with Egypt for its great historical and cultural heritage, as so many others have been before me. His Excellency, The Ambassador of the Aran Republic of Egypt, Dr. Mohammed Higazy spoke of the immense potential of the Outbound Tourism market from India, adding that Indians were great travellers, who loved to explore the world and are people who understand historical and cultural nuances or aspects very well. He added that the Egyptian Tourism Office has started a major advertisement campaign in Indian market with Indian travel agents and media. Almost half million US dollars will be spent in six months to encourage traffic between India & Egypt.
