Mumbai, July 22, 2008: NDTV LumiÃ¨re, has lived up to its promise of bringing contemporary cutting edge world cinema to India yet again! Three of its 13 movies that were screened at the 10th OSIAN Cinefan Film Festival won the most credible awards amongst varied categories.

Among the 13 cinematic wonders, Nuri Bilge Cylan directed movie â€˜Three Monkeysâ€™ won the Best Director award and Annemarie Jacir directed â€˜Salt of the Seaâ€™ won the FIPRESCI (Best Film) Award. Also, Nada Abou Farhat won the Best Actress award for her amazing portrayal of â€˜Zienaâ€™ in Philippe Aracntingi directed â€˜Under the Bombs.â€™

The thirteen NDTV LumiÃ¨re movies that were screened at the Osian Cinefan Film Festival were, The Chaos, Paloma Delight, Thousand Years of Good Prayers, Jellyfish, Ulzhan, Blind Mountain, Wonderful Town, Three Monkeys, Salt of The Sea, Breath, Under the Bombs, Secret of the Grain and 8 Â½. These films will also be presented to the Indian audiences in the coming months across multiple platforms ranging from theatrical releases to home video and television.
