JIMMY CHOO CELEBRATES 15th ANNIVERSAY WITH THE LAUNCH OF CRYSTAL ANNIVERSARY COLLECTION. December 15th2010, Mumbai – British luxury accessories brand Jimmy Choo celebrated its 15th anniversary at the plush SOBO restaurant – Villa 39. The grandgala saw the crème de la crème of Mumbai descend upon venue to enjoy a truly luxurious experience. Genesis Luxury MD, Sanjay Kapoor, was present at the occasion to raise a toast to the brand with the city’s swish set. Deepika Gehani, Creative Head, Genesis Luxury co-hosted the evening with him.
Guests were seen enjoying the Ciroc cocktail martinis aptly named with the theme, admiring the bedazzling Crystal Collection prominently displayed at the venue. The collection is Jimmy Choo’s own signature version of the traditional 15th anniversary gift of Crystal. The launch of the collection is the first of a series of new initiatives which will be unveiled during the coming year to celebrate the iconic spirit and 15 year heritage of the brand.

Villa 39 was transformed into a dazzling and glamorous environment with different visual elements to reflect the mood of the Crystal collection.Bathed in light pink with use of the Crystal Collection Imagery shot by renowned photographer and painter Marilyn Minter created a strong visual identity for the event. Flower in different hues of pink along with crystal strings bedecking the entrance & sporadically placed inside added to ambience & beauty of the décor.

I was inspired by vintage jewellery to add sparkling and luminous details to iconic Jimmy Choo shapes. But these are not the jeweled shoes of the past and instead show jewels in a modern and edgy way. I have long been a collector and a fan of Marilyn’s work and know that she can capture the essence of my vision”, says Tamara Mellon, Founder and Chief Creative Officer, Jimmy Choo.
