On Friday, Makers of Inside Edge hosted special screening of their web series in Mumbai. Celebrities like Vivek Oberoi, Rich Chaddha, Amit Syal, Pankaj Tripathi, Vicky Kaushal, Ali Fazal, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Aahana Kumra, Sudhir Mishra, Raskia Dugal, Sayani Gupta, Tanuj Virwani, Sanjay Suri and Karan Anshuman attended special screening of the web series.

Sayani Gupta – I am hoping that people will like it because it’s about India’s two rages that is cricket and Bollywood. This is fictional take on close door environment of Bollywood and cricket. I hve seen the seires in parts while dubbing and that time, it looked really nice. I am excited to see what response is like because its first time where original content from India in this format is going to the rest of the world. The only difference is the duration because when we make a film, it is generally for 100-150 minutes but this series is for 400 minutes in 10 episodes so it was difficult but we tried to make it like film.
Vivek Oberoi – I loved it. I want to congratulate Karan because as an actor, you have certain expectation with the project but when we saw it I was really surprised very positively. I really like Richa’s performance and I think it’s her best performance till date.
Ali Fazal – It was really good series. It was very well directed and acted. I have become fan of Karan Anshuman’s work. I think Amazon coming to India is really cool. When you watch cricket in this series you will actually feel like watching real cricket. It has been shot that way. Vivek, Richa and Amit Syal really acted amazingly in it.

Party Events

Vicky Kuashal – I really liked it. I watched the trailer and posters. I saw first two episodes, they are so engaging and interesting. Actors like Richa, Vivek, Angad, Amit Syal and Sayani has acted really well. When I came outside, first question I asked Karan was is this happens for real because it creates curiosity among audience mind and now I am looking forward to see next episodes.
Vicky also talked about his next film opposite Alia Bhatt which is directed by Meghna Gulzar and produced by Dharma Productins, he said, “I am doing look test for the film. We have started readings and workshop for the film. I am really excited and fortunate to be part of such film and its team. I can’t wait to start working on it. The shoot will begin at the end of this month.”
Vicky Kaushal is also playing friend Sanjay Dutt in Sanjay Dutt Biopic and it was earlier scheduled to release with Tiger Zinda Hai in December on same day but makers of Sanjay Dutt decided to postpone release till March 2018, talking about that, Vicky said, “I am too small person to think about clashes with other films. I am small part of such huge film. My only job is to act and I do that and don’t interfere in these aspects. I feel each film has its right time to release and each film has proper team to decide release date of the film. They are experienced professionals so I am sure that they have taken their decision with proper calculation.”
Pankaj Tripathi – I got bowled over by Richa’s performance. It’s a brilliant web series right from its story, direction to its acting. We Indian are so passionate about cricket but for the first time I have realized some unknown facts about cricket its an informative and entertaining series with lots of drama in it.
Pankaj Tripathi is also working with Rajnikanth and Nana Patekar in Kaala, talking about that Pankaj said, “It has been great working with Rajnikanth . I have completed the shoot of the film in Mumbai and after that I will start shooting in Chennai from next month. Rajniknth is a living legend and I always wanted to work him so I had great fun and I also learned a lot while shooting with Nana Parekar and Rajnikanth.”

Inside edge, India’s first original Amazon series produced by Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment, follows the ups and downs of a cricket team through a season of the “Powerplay league” and all that comes with it – greed, ambition, corruption, and even some cricket.
Inside Edge is created by Karan Anshuman.
The show will launch on Amazon Prime Video on July 10.
