Riya Sen walks the ramp for Arpan Vohra at LFW 2011 day 1

THE NAUTICAL COLLECTION FROM ARPAN VOHRA GAVE AN INTERESTING FASHION DIRECTION – Arpan Vohra took the audience on a fashionable cruise with his intriguingly titled collection “Sail Away”. Inspired by a nautical theme, Arpan’s range was a perfect offering for Summer/Resort 2011.

Giving his version of the fun loving sailor girl, Arpan’s creations had marine touches like ropes, chords, anchors, zippers, studs and knots in nautical colours of white, red, sea green and silver. With the out “doorsy” theme the silhouettes were very distinct in form as wide sailor trousers, maxis, sleek nautical jackets and sexy swimwear had that sporty but chic look.

Intricately crafted the collection revealed the theme in a stylish and intelligent manner for the creations that made a strong feminine statement. The lean clinging zipper dress with slits, the flowing plisse pants teamed with a tube, the itsey bitsy bikini, the sexy one shoulder swimsuit and chiffon sarong, the belted chiffon short dress, the red multi zipper jacket, the jumpsuit with metal embellishments and the maxi with rope detailing were part of an innovative look at holiday wear.

The show stopper – a white chiffon ruffle mini on the petit pretty Riya Sen completed the look by Arpan Vohra which will surely appeal to a global buyers as well as the wearers as they “Sail Away” with the creations.
