International Institute of Fashion Technology with more than 70 centres all over India, presented some select Indian Students (IIFTians) Designs/Costumes at the UK Fashion Extravaganza’2011 held by Bradford College UK. at National Media Museum (UK.).

A delegation from IIFT headed by its founder chairman – Ratnadeep Lal has gone to U.K. showing IIFT’s designers collection in the Grand Fashion Show held in UK.

About the Show:- Recently IIFT had participated in the International Fashion Show 2011 with Bradford School of Arts & Media at The National Media Museum, Bradford UK. Where the designers of IIFT had showcased their creative designs which was appreciated by the well known persons of the university.

She gives a speech on that precious occasion & announced that it is a great tie-up with India (International Institute of Fashion Technology). She also informed these tie-ups are very important for students of fashion design and she was very happy to have designs presentation by Indian designers in Grand Fashion show.

Mr. Ratnadeep Lal (Founder Chairman IIFT Group)

Speaking on the occasion founder chairman IIFT group Mr Ratnadeep lal said these types of events give an opportunity to our students to work on international projects and showcase their creative designs on international platforms. Mr Lal also appreciated special project team of British council for giving an opportunity to IIFT for participating with British Designers

Ms. Clare Lamkin (Events & Exhibitions Manager, Bradford College UK)
Speaking on the occasion Ms. Clare Lamkin (Events & Exhibitions Manager, Bradford College UK) informed about her experience in India during commonwealth games fashion show held in New Delhi and was very happy with the designers of IIFT for participating in their Fashion Show and also appreciated the creativity of the IIFT designers & told it was a great exposure for both the countries students.

Mr. Ronnie Todd (Project Manager, Bradford College UK)

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Ronnie Todd (Project Manager, Bradford College UK) has given vote of thank and congratulated founder chairman IIFT – Mr. Ratnadeep Lal about bringing the collections from India. He was very thankful to British Council Curriculum Projects (UKIERI) due to which the Bradford College of UK & IIFT had become International partners & jointly they had exchange their culture with each other.

Speaking on the occasion one of the designer said that it was a great opportunity for us to participate with Indian Designers from IIFT there designs are really very innovative & showing the textiles of India.

British Council Curriculum Projects – Bradford College is indebted to the support of the British Council in developing our curriculum exchanges and partnerships with our international partners. UKIERI is the British Council’s UK – India Education Research initiative and Bradford College is honored to have received two UKIERI Grant awards to enable our students to study in India and reciprocate to our partners:

• The Fashion Show prologue is the Bradford College – Whistling Woods International Film School of Bollywood Animation film ‘The Music of Life’. Premiered at the 2010 Bradford Animation Festival, this film has won international awards in India and Europe. The College’s Photography students taught the WWl Animation students still image concepts and Yorkshire culture whilst WWI students showed their School’s outstanding animation production techniques at Film City in Mumbai. College and WWI students addressed the Association of College’s Annual Conference as a case study of resounding success and unique learning experiences.

• At the Commonwealth Games in Delhi in October 2010, Bradford College Fashion and Photography students collaborated with the International Institute of Fashion Technology Design students to deliver ‘The Enchanted Splendour Fashion Show’. Hosted at the British Council Delhi Headquarters, the Show proved to be a centerpiece of the Games’ Cultural programme and a tremendous experience for both student groups, IIFT unique designs will be showcased at the College’s 2011 Show.
