“Jawan” is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language action thriller film co-written and directed by Atlee, marking his first Hindi film. The premise of the film revolves around a soldier who sets out to avenge a personal vendetta against the government with the help of his gang of women.
The music for the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The film’s principal photography began in September 2021, with filming taking place in various locations across India including Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Rajasthan, and Aurangabad. Initially planned for release on 2 June 2023, the film was postponed due to unfinished post-production work and is now scheduled for theatrical release on 7 September 2023, coinciding with Janmashtami.

13/July/2023 – “Shah Rukh Khan Praises ‘Jawan’ Co-stars and Director, Shares Insights from Filming Experience”
During a recent Q&A session on Twitter, Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan shared his experiences working with his co-stars and director on the upcoming film “Jawan”. He praised co-star Vijay Sethupathi, describing him as a “mad actor in an awesome way” from whom he learned a lot. He also expressed admiration for Nayanthara, calling her the “sweetest of them all”.
When asked about working with director Atlee, Shah Rukh Khan complimented him as “too cool” and “hardworking”, appreciating his efforts to make him look good in the film.
In response to a question about injuries sustained during filming, Khan quipped that as long as his heart isn’t hurt, everything else is manageable.
He also revealed that he hasn’t seen any memes related to the film as he doesn’t spend much time on social media, preferring real-life social interactions.
Finally, discussing the song ‘Bekaraar Karke’ in ‘Jawan’, Khan credited the idea to Atlee, expressing his love for the song and its dance sequence, and describing it as having “too much magic”.
