15/July/2023 – Shanaya Kapoor and Zahrah S Khan Join the Stellar Cast of Pan-Indian Film ‘Vrushabha’
Shanaya Kapoor and Zahrah S Khan have been revealed as the latest additions to the cast of the pan-Indian film ‘Vrushabha’, starring Mohanlal. Balaji Telefilms, Connekkt Media, and AVS Studios are partnering on this multilingual project.Â
Shanaya Kapoor and Zahrah S Khan, both fresh faces in the industry, have been added to the stellar cast of the pan-Indian film “Vrushabha” starring the legendary actor Mohanlal, the production team announced on Saturday.
Balaji Telefilms, led by Ektaa R Kapoor, in partnership with Connekkt Media and AVS Studios, are set to deliver this multilingual project, under the direction of Nanda Kishore. The film will also star Roshann Meka.
Shanaya, daughter of Bollywood actor Sanjay Kapoor, is about to mark her entrance into Hindi cinema with Karan Johar‘s production, “Bedhadak”. According to an official statement, she is set to play a key role in “Vrushabha”, a character who “serves as a link between the film’s past and present timelines”.
“I’m buzzing with excitement to get in front of the camera and kick off the filming. There’s so much to absorb and discover from this project. The captivating storyline has stayed with me. Coupled with the film’s high-profile cast and grand scale, it’s the type of role that any young actor would be thrilled and motivated to portray, particularly at the outset of their career. It’s an actualization of a dream. Being a part of ‘Vrushabha’ with Mohanlal sir is truly an honor. I am immensely grateful,” Shanaya stated.
Zahrah, the daughter of renowned star Salma Agha, will mark her entry into Indian cinema with “Vrushabha”, playing the role of a warrior princess.
She expressed her enthusiasm about working with Mohanlal and Meka in her “first pan-India release”. “It has always been my desire to be part of a film with high caliber actors like Mohan sir. Sharing the screen with him is a privilege. The aesthetic and scale of the film are immense, spanning from historical times to the present day. I’m eagerly anticipating the audience’s reaction to my character, the shaping of which is credited to our director, Nanda sir. I’m thrilled to see this epic film materialize,” she added.
“Vrushabha” is expected to commence production later this month, and is set to hit the screens in 2024 in multiple languages including Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, and Hindi.

‘Vrushabha’, the upcoming film, pledges to offer an electrifying dramatic narrative centered on a father-son duo, complemented by an extensive and accomplished cast, avant-garde visual effects, and exhilarating action sequences, all intended to enthrall viewers.
Telugu film star Roshann Meka, who has been cast as the son of Malayalam superstar Mohanlal in the multilingual action spectacle ‘Vrushabha’, expressed his enthusiasm about the unique opportunity to act alongside the veteran actor.
Roshann Meka, while commenting on his role, expressed: “It’s a remarkable opportunity to be in the same scenes with a distinguished actor like Mohanlal sir. I view my role as a challenge and I’m pushing myself to meet the expectations of Nanda sir’s vision for my character. I feel privileged to be part of such an exceptional movie.”
