She forayed into films in the year 1998 with Jab Pyaar Kisise Hai. She did a guest appearance in the film. Than came Kachche Dhaage where she played Saif Ali Khan's love interest. In a very short period she carved out a niche of herself. Recently she was seen in Gurinder Chadha's Bride and Prejudice where she played Aishwarya Rai's elder sister.
