Ameesha Patel, a well-known figure in the film industry, recently took to social media to address two primary concerns that her fans have been bringing up: the speculation about the fate of her character, Sakina, in the highly anticipated film, Gadar 2, and an ongoing financial dispute with Anil Sharma Productions.
Since the release of Gadar 2’s teaser, fans have been buzzing with speculation about the possible death of Ameesha’s character, Sakina. However, Ameesha put these rumors to rest through a series of tweets.
In one, she shared a still from the movie’s promo, reassuring her fans that Sakina does not die in the sequel. The tweet read: “Hey all my lovely fans!! Too many of you have been concerned and worried with this shot from GADAR 2, thinking it’s SAKINA who is dead!! Well, it’s not!! Who it is I can’t say, but it’s not SAKINA!! So, please don’t worry!! Love you all.”
The other major concern revolved around claims that Anil Sharma Productions had not fulfilled its financial obligations to various cast and crew members. Rumors had been circulating that several technicians and other personnel did not receive their due payments.
Addressing this, Ameesha confirmed the rumors in another tweet, which stated: “Another concern of fans has been about certain incidents regarding ANIL SHARMA PRODUCTIONS… many technicians like makeup artists, costume designers, and others, etc. did not receive their rightful remuneration and dues from ANIL SHARMA PRODUCTIONS!! Yes, they did not!! But @ZeeStudios_ stepped in and made sure all dues were settled as they are a very professional company!”
She further elaborated that several logistical elements, such as transportation, accommodation, and even food bills, were left unpaid by Anil Sharma Productions, leaving some cast and crew members in the lurch. However, Zee Studios stepped in and remedied the situation.
Ameesha highlighted the professionalism of Zee Studios, appreciating their intervention in resolving the issues caused by Anil Sharma Productions. She specifically thanked Shariq Patel, Neeraj Joshi, Kabeer Ghosh, and Nischit from the Zee team for their support.
Gadar 2, which stars Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma, is jointly produced by Zee Studios and Anil Sharma Productions, under the direction of Anil Sharma. The film is scheduled to hit the screens on 11th August 2023.
