Tinseltown head to ‘Australia’- It was an evening of glitzy glamour in the suburbs on New Year’s night. Well no, it was no bash or party thrown by any celebrity but the release of one of the most awaited Hollywood movie Australia, released by Fox Studios which had a screening in Fame Adlabs in Andheri. The movie starring Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman could not have released at a better time than the first day of the new year, making it the perfect start and gift, may we say!?
The late night show witnessed many high profile celebs storming into the theatre to watch the only movie to have released on New Years. Javed Akhtar was there with Satish Kaushik while Sudhir Mishra seemed in good spirits greeting friends whomsoever he bumped into. Farida Jalal, quickly smiled for the shutterbugs while Pallavi Joshi seemed completely enthusiastic about watching the movie in her casual attire. Aryan Vaid was accompanied by his firang friend. Gautam Kapoor came solo but soon caught up with friend and co-star Prashant Chainani . Harsh Chhaya too walked in minus wife, who got caught up with shooting. Hairstylist Aalim came with friend too. Others were Bela Segal, Ad Singh, Bijon Das Gupta, Pankaj Parashar, Brinda Parekh.
Lots of telly actors also came in like Dipsshika along with Paritosh Painter, Delnaaz and Rajesh Paul, Bakhtiyar and Tanaaz Irani, Siddharth Kannan, Gaurav Chopra who interestingly was accompanied by Narayani Shastri. Alex O Nell came in with friends but minus wife Shweta Keswani, who was down with the weather. Eijaz Khan, Mita Vashist, Gauri and Yash Tonk were also present.
The movie seemed to have worked its magic on the crowd who seemed to have love it and appreciate it with a lot of clapping throughout the movie, especially the end.
