Deepika Gehani’s spring-summer collection applauds this very modern chic. 23rd February 2010 saw a double celebration hosted by Deepika Gehani : the opening of her new store at Kemps Corner, Mumbai and the celebrity studded unveiling of the “Mumbai Girl” collection. A delectable array of luscious desserts and flavored coffees perfectly complemented the tasteful event, while keeping with Deepika’s statement of classic everlasting style.

Spring-Summer 2010 is all about form fitting tunics, linen outfits, smart florescent shades and sexy but relaxed fit garments. “Mumbai Girl” is all this and more. With Deepika’s usual sense of elegance and aura of confidence, she manages to catch our attention yet again.

“Mumbai Girl” is made up of Kaftan like silhouetted tunics, dresses and tops in simple white linen with cutwork that accentuates the stylish detailing that gives the outfit a fresh and multi- dimensional look .An intimation and stylish mélange of florescent colors like pink and green, promise to complement the contemporary Indian woman who is simple and yet turns heads effortlessly. Indian churidar kurtas in pretty pastels embellished with pearls and satin cords give the collection a very fluid look.
