THE FLAG is an exciting story set up against the backdrop of our struggle for freedom. It is a period film depicting the period between 1930 to 1940. The story revolves around kanakpur villagers whose main profession was colouring clothes. After arrival of the British troops they started recruiting youngsters promising good job and salary in the city and were taken away from the village for serving the British army. The villagers were initially happy to see the colourful British flag.
Suddenly the situation changes. A British truck arrives carrying the dead bodies of 10 village youths taken to the city by Bruisers. As per the British procedures these dead bodies of Indian soldiers died in a battle were brought wrapped in British Flag. By seeing the blood soaked British Flag the villagers get infuriated.

Villagers then try to remove the British Flag from the village under the leadership of Deva (Ashmit Patel) but the attempt fails and they are caught. Later, Devas friend under his directions tries to remove the British flag but they are caught. The Britishers than try playing a game with the offender by keeping the British flag 50 metres away and the villagers are supposed to reach the flag before the counting is done by 5 if they fail they are shot dead. Britishers always cheated by counting fast and shot the villagers. Villagers get angry by seeing the cruelty and they approach Arjun who is away in the city for sales of their coloured clothes.
Later Arjun (Milind Soman) arrives in the scene and by using his intelligence he creates a strategy for the final assault on the British and what follows is the brilliant way in which they outset Britishers by giving them the dose of their own medicine.
The music of the movie has been given by Lalit Pandit and lyrics by Sameer. Sanjayy Masoomm has done the screenplay and dialogues. The choreography is done by Harshall Vitthal and the action by Sham Kaushal.
