Notable fashion designer Varun Bahl, known for his exquisite designs that merge tradition with modernity, is all geared up to enthral audiences with his latest collection titled “Inner Bloom” at the much-anticipated India Couture Week 2023. His designs, akin to poetry in fabric, have always had a unique way of casting a spell on fashion enthusiasts.
Varun’s grandiose fashion showcase is slated for Thursday evening at the iconic Taj Palace. To heighten the anticipation, the designer has dropped hints about a celebrity appearance: the talented Bollywood actress Bhumi Pednekar will grace the ramp as his muse, adding her charm to his flora and fauna-inspired collection.
In “Inner Bloom”, Bahl intends to bring the age-old craft of artisanal embroidery to the spotlight. The collection, a symphony of various textures and surfaces, intricately includes seamless patchwork embroideries, swaying tassels, shimmering sequin work, as well as cutdana and nakshi work. These detailed elements, blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary fashion trends, produce a bold and modern aesthetic that’s truly a visual feast.

The palette of the collection mirrors the lush beauty of an enchanted forest. It boasts of deep blacks, moss greens, petal pinks, and lavender hues, complemented by vibrant fuchsia, fiery vermilion red, and soothing seafoam blue. These colours, like dancers, twist and twirl across the garments, instilling them with a depth and vivaciousness that is bound to captivate all who set eyes on them.
Building up to the show, Varun teased eager fashion aficionados with sneak peeks into his collection, creating a wave of anticipation for the grand reveal.

The 16th edition of India Couture Week commenced on July 25, with Falguni Shane Peacock being the first to display their collection at the celebrated fashion event.
