A luxurious line with a vintage feel, Charu’s collection had hints of bling as well. Her prints in burgundy and plum mixed with different shades of grey had uniqueness about them. The designer used flowing fabrics like banarsi georgettes, organzas and net for her autumn/winter line which she aptly named “Seductive Diva in vintage styleâ€. The Indian designer used her signature quilting technique on the coats and dresses. The collection had an Indian sensibility in terms of embroidery and embellishments but it was styled for a global customer.
The biggest example of this being the show stopper which was a layered lehenga skirt matched with a short fitted jacket blouse with fur on the collars giving it a bit of a twist. All shades of gold from dull to bright were seen in the line and techniques of gold foil printing were the highlight of the collection. A rich yet romantic collection for winter this year.
