August 12, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Cinematographer Ravi Varman’s directorial debut Moscowin Kaveri was supposed to hit screens on August 13. It has been postponed to the last week of this month. The project was undertaken in 2007 and was completed nearly before a year. However, the film remained under cans for unknown reasons and is now getting ready for release.
The film features newcomer Rahul and Samantha of Baana Kaathadi fame in lead roles and veteran actor Y. Gee. Mahendran’s son Harshavardhan plays an important character in this movie.
Thamman’s musical score has topped the charts and the promotional songs are already being aired on all satellite channels. Very few producers permit the satellite channels to air the songs before the release and producer D. Ramesh Babu of R Films is one of them.
The closer sources have mentioned that due to more releases scheduled for next couple of weeks, producer Ramesh decided to postpone the release. August 13 will have Boopathy Pandian’s Kadhal Solla Vandhen and Arulnidhi’s Vamsam while Karthi starrer Naan Mahaan Alla and Prakash Raj’s Inidhu Inidhu are hitting screens on August 20.
Apart from these Tamil films, there are a whole lot of Hollywood movies slated for release that includes Hollywood’s big ticket The Expendables. Sylvester Stallone plays the lead role and has also directed the film. The film has already raised everyone’s expectations as it brings the most happening superstars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Jet Li, Steve Austen and many others together.
