December 30, 2010 : Bengali film and television actor Rudranil Ghosh is still reeling under the shock of an ‘Accident’ he faced just the past weekend on the busy Sarat Bose Road crossing of Kolkata. His fans don’t need to worry though because the actor isn’t hurt! Well, we are talking about the mishap sequence that Rudranil Ghosh had to film for his upcoming film Accident in Kolkata on Sunday. In a statement to the media, Rudranil Ghosh recalls how scared he was before and after giving the shot for the cameras, terming it as one of the most memorable moments in his entire career as an actor.

The actor will be seen driving a minibus in Accident and it is his bus that will eventually run over a small child. Rudranil Ghosh says that while driving a bus was difficult on the busy Kolkata street, what worried him more was the fact that he had to shoot the accident sequence twice in spite of giving a good shot at first chance! The actor says that Anil Singh, cinematographer of Accident insisted on the retake because he felt that the child actor who is supposed to be run over by the bus had become conscious when the bus was speeding towards him, in the process forgetting to put on the required expression.

Accident which hits theaters next year also stars Shankar Debnath. According to Rudranil Ghosh, Accident will remain one of the most cherished films in his career.
