With this remake of Khosla Ka Ghosla, director Vijay has succeeded in creating the same kind of magic which was visible in the Hindi version of the film. The story of the film is simple where a middle class honest man Nedumudi Venu gets into a trouble of the estate agents when he plans to buy his dream house in the suburbs of Chennai.
Nedumudi Venu is an honest retired government officer with usual middle class values. He has a happy family consisting of his loving wife, two sons Karthik, a techie, and Om, a student-and a daughter. Venu invests all his earnings in a plot of land in Velachery. Real estate dealer Haneefa cons them with the backing of the land shark Nasser, who grabs the plot and claims that he has the documents to prove it as his own!
After this the plot revolves around the characters teaming up with a theatre group and conning Nasser and in the end succeed in getting their plot back with the money they receive by conning Nasser.
Nedumudi Venu has done a wonderful job as Santhyanathan. Nassar excels in his character as real estate giant and his body language is commendable.
Mouli, Pia, Bosky and Balaji are simply superb in their role. Espicially Balaji has wonderfully portrayed his comical character and often succeeds in tickling your laughter bone. Karthik too has done justice with his character. Om, the new guy who dons the character of Karthik’s brother shows a promising future ahead. M.G. Sreekumar’s music fails to deliver the kind of music suited for the genre. Camera work by Aravind Krishna is brilliant. Even Antony’s editing is the pulse of the film. Young gun Vijay too proves to be good as a director and undoubtedly has a great future ahead.
We would surely recommend this entertainer to be viewed by the viewers.
