Shah Rukh Khan says Bollywood’s three Khans – Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan respect each other for whatever work they do. Aamir Khan says Salman Khan’s Sultan is Eid Gift.

Between me, Aamir and Salman, we have a fondness for each other. I feel Aamir and Salman are bigger stars than me. Whatever Aamir has said it is out of respect. We respect each other for whatever work we do

Shah Rukh Khan said here, while he  expressed his views during Eid celebrations on Thursday at Mannat here. Shah Rukh also praised Aamir’s poster of Dangal, saying that it is amazing. He said he will let his contemporaries, Aamir and Salman Khan, handle wrestling while he will stick with his romantic genre.  With two of his Khan contemporaries exploring the wrestling genre, it could be thought that he would also follow suit but SRK, noted for his romantic and emotional avatar, says he doesn’t believe in any such thing and keep essaying his soft-hearted roles.

Let Aamir and Salman handle wrestling.. two of them are enough to handle wrestling. Above all I don’t look like a wrestler from any angle. I am a romantic hero and I don’t know wrestling.

In Sultan, Salman Khan essays the role of a wrestler, is already making leaps and bounds in theatres while later this year, Aamir Khan will also be seen in similar role, but in a biopic based on real-life wrestler Mahavir Phogat.

Salman’s sports drama Sultan and Shahrukh Khan‘s dark thriller Raees were set to lock horns at the box-office this Eid, but this was averted as the release of Raees was pushed to next year after Shah Rukh suffered some injuries.

“When two films release at the same time, we don’t get the big theatrical release we want. Budget of the film suffers if the movie is not releasing on 4,000 screens. One needs to have 8,000 to 10,000 theaters for two movies to release at the same time. I don’t think two big films can released at the same time. Secondly, I suffered some injuries and there are body shot portions I still need to shoot. But otherwise the film is ready,” he said.

On the professional front, the actor will soon start working on Imtiaz Ali’s project and Aanand L. Rai’s venture.

Shah Rukh Khan said:

I am going to start working on two projects with Imtiaz Ali and Aanand L. Rai. Anushka Sharma will feature in Imtiaz’s movie. But casting isn’t confirmed for Rai’s project.

Talking about his first-time collaboration with Tamasha maker, SRK said:

I would like to do happy films. I loved Imtiaz’s works especially films like ‘Jab we Met’ and ‘Highway’.”

He did not divulge any further details.

The 50-year-old actor also informed that he has completed shooting for Gauri Shinde’s film, which also stars Alia Bhatt.

SRK also has Rahul Dholakia’s Raees, which features Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Pakistani actress Mahira Khan. It is directed by Rahul Dholakia and produced by Gauri Khan, Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under their banners Red Chillies Entertainment and Excel Entertainment. He is wrapping up his thriller drama Raees. The movie is slated to hit the theater on January 26 2017, but unfortunately on that particular day, Raees will collide with Hrithik Roshan-starrer Kaabil, which kicked off recently.

Shah Rukh Khan also went down memory lane on the festive occasion of Eid on Thursday and shared that he used to get only Rs 11 during his childhood days as Eidi.

Talking about his children and their eidi, Shah Rukh, who hosted a press conference on the occasion of Eid at his residence Mannat, said:

There is no special gift that we give to one another. We just wear brand new white clothes. But I think boys in the house have problem wearing white kurta pyjama as all of them are modern. We forcibly make them wear the white kurta pyjama.

SRK has two sons Aryan and AbRam, and daughter Suhana.

I used to get Rs 11 in my childhood as Eidi. My family members or grandmother used to give us money, mostly tied up in a cloth or in an envelope. I don’t remember much about it because my parents passed away when I was very little. I used to visit my friends’ home or someone would come to our house.

Shah Rukh also said that superstar Salman Khan-starrer Sultan (Movie Review), which released on Wednesday, is definitely on his must-watch list.

I haven’t seen ‘Sultan’, but I’ve heard it is nice. When I get time, I will watch it.

Dressed in a white kurta pyjama himself, SRK also shared his fitness mantra.

I eat less, exercise for 30 minutes and think fit to be fit.
