May 31, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Actor Ambareesh celebrated his 59th birthday at his residence on Saturday. The actor, who is popularly known as the ‘Rebel Star’ amongst his fans, celebrated his birthday with his actress wife Sumalatha, son Abhishek Gowda and his numerous fans.
Celebrations outside his residence in JP Nagar, Bengaluru, were in full swing. Almost from 8 O’ clock in the morning, fire crackers were burst and flowers were being showered at the star. He accepted the blessings of his fans and cut about 10 cakes brought on by his fans. Seeing the huge number of fans that had gathered outside his house, the police provided the actor-politician with extra security.
But the main highlight of the morning was the 59 kg cake. The cake was especially made for the occasion of the actor’s 59th birthday. The ‘Danashoora Karna’ of the Kannada film industry, started out his film career with a small role and went on to be a superstar with his many fabulous performances.
The actor is currently acting in a film titled Veera Parampare along with Sudeep. This movie is being directed by director S Narayan.
