February 15, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Kollywood filmmakers are commonly fond of making movies based on social crisis and in times audiences have very well responded to them. Now, we have a newcomer ready to kick-start his directorial venture with a film titled ‘Kamban’. The film is based on a youngster’s journey of providing quality education to all classes of contemporary society. “These days, education has become a sort of money-spinning business and it hasn’t been provided to children from financially unstable families free of cost,” says director Muralisamy.
The film has newcomer Sathya making his debut as an actor and has mastered the proficient skill of acting in Koothupattarai. Actress Navarathna from Chandigarh stars opposite Sathya in female lead while Suman, Ramya Krishnan and Kota Srinivasa Rao are performing prominent roles.
The film’s shooting is slated to hit floors by end of this month and it will be simultaneously made in Telugu and Tamil. Winning rave reviews for his good score in ‘Kurunila Mannan’, music director Johan has almost completed tuning melodies to the lyrics of Na. Muthukumar, Arivumathi and Yugabharathy. Guna is handling cinematography while Shekar-Ranjees have been signed for editing.
