Inspiredby the magnificent architecture of the Amer fort of Jaipur and other forts & palaces of Rajasthan, Amér, the new jewellery collection by Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers dazzled the ramp at IIJW Mumbai, 2013. Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers created the facsimile of the magnanimous fort of Amer on the ramp with the life-sized Ganesh Pol gate in the center, while the beautiful arches and parkota walls of Rajasthan magically surrounded the audience making them feel shielded by the esteemedfortress.
The theme “Reflection of undying charm of Rajasthan in Indian Cinema” showcased the soulful spirit of Rajasthan and its splendid architecture through movie sequences and songs of three different eras of Indian Cinema; the beginning era during the silent movies period, Middle and the Modern era.
The evening was graced by a sparkling entry of the gracious Sharmila Tagore who walked the ramp in pristine glory dressed in a lovely saree and a Mughal styled jacket blouse adorned with the alluring jewellery from the Amér collection.
In a long black jacket dress and the unique chunk of jewellery, came the vivacious Ila Arun, in a gypsy look. The ramp brightened up as she made her entry by dancing to her Rajasthani folk songs. The mood of the audience lit up as she danced in her carefree demeanor along with the models, all dressed and bejeweled in atribal look.
The gorgeous Kangana Ranaut then sashayed the ramp in her exquisitely designed lehenga-choli and a stunning necklace from Amér. Along with her, came the dashing beau, the model-turned actor, Vidyut Jammwal. The Creative Director of Birdhichand, Mr Yash Agarwal walked with all the showstoppers and the costume designer; Pallavi Jaipur. The show featured signature pieces from the new collection Amér, embellished with white and natural fancy colored pink and yellow canary diamonds in full cut, rose cut and uncut shapes further adorned with lush green emeralds, naturalbasara pearls and rubies.
The leading Indian choreographer Achala Sachdevimmaculately choreographed the show. Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers is one of the supreme luxury jewellery brands of India.
