Following a severe stomach ache, singer C Ashwath was rushed to the hospital on Thursday afternoon. While he was quite healthy on Thursday morning, he got sick in the afternoon and had to be admitted to ICU at Columbia Asia Hospital, Bangalore.
The singer was undergoing treatment for liver and kidney problems at the same hospital last week. He is now being treated by four specialists who assure that he will be back on his feet in no time as he is responding well to the treatment.
Meanwhile, the singer’s 70th birthday is coming up on the 29th of this month. His family and friends are planning a special function for him at Ravindra Kala Kshetra where he will be felicitated by Swamiji of Suttur and Virendra Hegde. He will also sing a few of his songs there.
