June 2, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Followed by a lukewarm response his previous release ‘Kutty‘, actor Dhanush has now completed shooting for his upcoming film ‘Utthamaputhiran‘ that happens to be a remake of yesteryear Telugu hit ‘Ready‘. Ramesh Tandra and Mohan Apparao have produced this film under the banner of Balaji Studios Pvt. Ltd.
Having worked together in couple of Telugu remakes namely ‘Yaaradi Nee Mohini‘ and ‘Kutty‘, Jawahar Mithran has once again joined hands with Dhanush for yet another remake. Genelia D’ Souza, who played Ram’s love interest in the original version, has performed the female lead while Bhagyaraj plays the role of Dhanush’s dad. Vivek, Karunaas, Aashish Vidyarthi, Jayaprakash Reddy, master Bharath, Mayilsamy, R Sundarajan, Vijaybabu, Srinath, Uma Padmanabhan and others have performed important roles in this family entertainer.
The film started rolling by August 2009 and has been completed with three schedules at Chennai, Kuttralam and its surrounding regions. The film has a musical score by Vijay Anthony and a couple of songs is yet to be shot in Kerala and foreign locales.
