Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has released the DVD of his recent offbeat film Aakashagopuram, directed by K.P. Kumaran, at the Dubai Film Festival on Friday (19th of December, 2008). Notably, with the DVD launch of Aakashagopuram, India’s No. 1 Home Entertainment Company Moser Baer Entertainment commences its international foray.
The DVDs are available at the stores across the globe from Saturday onwards. Inspired by Norwegian writer Henrik Ibsen’s classic play ‘The Master Builder’, Aakashagopuram stars Mohanlal, Nithya, Bharath Gopi, Manoj K. Jayan, Srinivasan, Geethu Mohandas and Shwetha Menon. The movie, made with a budget of Rs. 55 crores, shot entirely in Great Britain, was released in Kerala on 22nd August. It was recently screened at the 13th International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK), which concluded in Thiruvananthapuram on Friday.
