October 6, 2010 : Young actor Gourab Chatterjee wants to follow the footsteps of his iconic grandfather Uttam Kumar. This young actor made his foray into the tinsel town as a mentally challenged youth in Star Jalsa’s popular show ‘Durga’. Now Gourab is all set to play the role of a Yuppie DJ in Kaushik Ganguly’s upcoming film Rang Milanti.
Director Kaushik Ganguly has chosen five young and promising talents from the Bengali film industry to play the important roles in his film, Rang Milanti. In a recent interview, Gourab told us that he was looking for a role similar to the one he played in the TV drama, but Kaushik Ganguly approached him with something that was completely different. Gourab feels that actors should always try to reinvent themselves as stagnation is a career-killer.
The actor told us that he is going to play the role of a carefree urban hip guy in rang Milanti. The actor desires to take a break from the hectic TV shootings and try his hand in the movie industry. Gourab informed us that he has learnt a lot from ‘Durga’ but now he wants to move forward and try out different possibilities.
