Mohanlal and Mammootty win the best awards

At the Asianet awards recently, Mammootty and Mohanlal won the top prizes together. While Mohanlal won the best actor award for his films Ivide Swargamaanu and Bhramaram, Mammootty took away the Millennium Star honour. Mammootty’s film, Pazhassi Raja won the best film award.

The best director award went to Renjith for Palery Manickyam – Oru Pathirakolapathinte Katha. Kavya Madhavan was named best actress for her film, Banaras. The Youth Icon honour went to Prithviraj. The awards ceremony will be held at Thiruvananthapuram on January 18.
