Nadhiya to Debut on Television

Published on

May 7, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Actress Nadhiya Moidu, who did quite a few Malayalam films before entering the Tamil film industry, is set to make her television debut.

She debuted with Fazil’s movie Nokketha Doorathu Kannum Nattu where she played an important role alongside Padmini. The film released in 1984. The actress shot to fame instantly and the film was then remade by Fazil in Tamil and titled Poove Poochudava. It featured the same cast.

Nadhiya moved over to Tamil films after doing a number of Malayalam films. She was accepted in the Tamil industry and came to be known as an actress who did substantial roles. After marriage, she went on a sabbatical from work and made a good comeback to Kollywood with strong supporting roles like in M. Kumaran s/o Mahalakshmi, which released in 2004.

After M. Kumaran s/o Mahalakshmi was a big hit, Nadhiya started to do strong character roles, mostly in Tamil movies. The actress will now be debuting on television with a 26-episode television show on Vijay TV. We wonder how that will turn out, but seeing her talents, we’re sure she will be noticed for her acting!
