October 11, 2010 : Kannada film star Puneeth Rajakumar’s upcoming movie ‘Jackie’ has received a U/A certificate from the censor board in Bangalore, informed Raghavendra Rajakumar, on behalf of Poornima Enterprises. The movie will now release on October 14 this year.
Jackie is the 13th film of actor Puneeth Rajakumar and it stars Malaylam film actress Bhavana as the female lead. Bhavana is making her debut in Sandalwood with this movie.
The film has some lovely tracks by composer V Harikrishna. Apart from the presence of a star like Puneeth Rajakumar, these beautiful songs have also created high hopes for the film’s success. Puneeth feels that the film is very different, technically.
Dhuniya-fame director Soori is also working for the first time with Puneeth in this film. Yogaraj Bhat has penned the lyrics for five songs in the movie.
The film has been offered U/A certificate for the action portions but it has not been suggested to go for any cuts, as per the sources.
Jackie will release at the Santosh theatre on Kempe Gowda Road. Director Soori has also penned down the story, dialogues and screenplay for the movie. Camera is handled by Sathya Hegde.
The supporting roles in the film are played by the actors Rangayana Raghu, Sumithra, , Honnavalli Krishna, Satyajith, Ravi Kaale, Shobaraj, Bullet Prakash, Raju Thalikote, Ravikiran, Siddaraju, Sampath, Umesh, Harshika, Nisha, Sushma Biradar, Chandru, Petrol Prasanna and Apoorva.
