May 29, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): It is a well known fact that Tamil film director Radha Mohan and actor producer Prakash Raj are very good friends. It is also known that three of the four movies that he has directed, have been produced under the banner of ‘Duet Movies’, which is owned by good friend Prakash. With these statistics at hand, one would think that Radha Mohan is biased towards ‘Duet Movies’.
But, Mohan claims that he is open to the idea of working with the other producers as well. He explains that the reason he has been doing films with ‘Duet Movies’ time and again, is because Prakash gives him a lot of space and creative freedom. He will be happy to work with the other producers as long as they give him the freedom to shape up the movie as he wishes to.
Both Mozhi and Abhiyum Naanum were produced by ‘Duet Movies’ and were his career’s biggest hits. The director is currently busy directing Payanam. This Nagarjuna starring action flick is also being produced by Prakash. Mohan revealed that the movie is based on an airplane hijack incident. He wanted Nagarjuna for the lead role as he felt the actor was perfect for the character. Prakash Raj is also playing an important role in the movie.
We hope the other producers out there are listening to Radha Mohan’s request!
