October 14, 2010 : Filmmaker Lal has started calling the shots for his next youth based project titled ‘Tournament- Play and Replay’. The shooting of the movie has started at Kochi.
Director Lal has also penned down the script of the movie. It will have Manu, Johan, Fahad Fazil, Prajan, Aryan and Praveen in the lead roles. Recently, the director has signed Tamil actress Roopa Manjari as the female lead in this film. She made her debut in 2009 with the Tamil movie Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru.
The director has also signed veteran filmmaker Fazil’s son Fahad Fazil (Shanu) in one of the lead roles. The young lad has shown his acting talent in his first few movies like Kaiyethum Doorathu, Kerala Café, Pramani etc.
Tournament- Play and Replay is all about six youngsters, who are ardent cricket lovers. They plan a trip to Bangalore to participate in the IPL tournament. It will be a comedy thriller and will offer some elements of suspense.
The music of the film has been scored by music director Deepak Dev. The movie is being produced by Lal and P N Venugopal. The director is planning to release the movie in Kerala during the Christmas this year.
