January 17, 2011 : Shriya Saran is the eminent actress, who has entrenched herself in the South Indian film industries by delivering competent performances in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada as well as Malayalam films, several of which were acclaimed ones. She has also gained the reputation of being a prankster, which was only strengthened by reports that she regularly ‘pulled the legs’ of the actor, Arya, and newcomer, Preetika, while the three were advertising their Tamil romantic movie, Chikku Bukku, which was discharged in December 2010.

However, there is the news now of another prank performed by Shriya, which is in Tamilnadu enacting her character in the Tamil action flick, Rowthiram, which has Jeeva as the male protagonist.  It has been mentioned that a specific scene during the shooting required Shriya to insert bogus blood on her visage. Shriya, however, naughtily ambled into the hotel where she was lodged devoid of wiping the sham blood, which frightened the guests at the hotel.

Shriya has tweeted that she entered the hotel’s lobby with fake blood on her face, after which some overseas guests were so petrified that they didn’t know to scream or flee.  She has uttered that she enjoys these moments between the shooting schedules.

In 2010, Shriya debuted in the Malayalam film industry, with her performance in Pokkiri Raja, which consisted of accomplished actors such as Mammooty and Prithviraj.  Her acting was lauded.
