October 9, 2010  : A recent report suggested that Shruthi Haasan may make her debut in Malayalam films. However, the 24- year-old actress has denied the reports, saying that, she has no such plans as of now.

The versatile celebrity, who is known as an actress, singer and musician, cleared the air saying that even though she is willing to work in different languages, she is not going to work on any Malayalam film in near future.

It was reported that renowned director T K Rajeevkumar, who happens to be a close friend of Shruthi’s father, superstar Kamal Haasan, has approached Kamal with his new project titled Oru Naal Varum. It suggested that Kamal has asked his daughter to consider this movie as her launch pad in Mollywood. She was supposedly offered to play the female lead in this film.

Everyone was thinking that Shruthi may follow the footsteps of her father, who has recently made his comeback to Malayalam films after so many years. But this statement from the actress has made it clear that Mollywood fans of Shruthi will have to wait to see her on big screen.

Shruthi is currently working in the Tamil film 7am Arivu opposite superstar Surya.
