The Hindi film ‘A Wednesday’ starring Naseeruddin Shah as a common man and Anupam Kher as Police Commissioner was a big hit. Neeraj Pandey directed the film. Kamal Haasan was very much impressed with the film and secured the rights to remake the film in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.
Kamal Haasan will play the role played by Naseeruddin Shah. Mohanlal will play the role of police commissioner in the Malayalam and Tamil versions. Kamal Haasan wants Venkatesh to play the police commissioner’s role in the Telugu version. Venky is likely to give his nod for the proposal.
