If you have been beaten by the Mahabharat saga that was telecasted in Doodarshan then you must remember Roopa Ganguli as the Daraupadi, but with the time changing and Ekta becoming the ruling lady of the small screen, she seems to be in a mood to redo everything. That is why she is making her epical saga Kahani Hamaaray Mahabharat Ki is such a grand manner. Finally she has found her Draupadi in Anita Hassanandani.
Ekta was stuck between Gauri Pradhan and Anita Hassanandani for this character. It was quite a difficult decisions as both the contender re quite likeable in the role. But finally the K-queen took her pick. Anita is obviously happy about her being selected for the much talked about role. She is said to be ready to grow her hair to get into the role and getting herself a different look.
Anita is now waiting to listen to Ekta give her a detailed outline of the character so that she can do justice to the role. Not only this but, Anita has started reading the Mahabharata and she wants to get acting tips from their. The show is said to go on air in August this year.
