Gitanjali, the leading jewellery brand, who in the past has had brand ambassadors like Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma, Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan has now signed on the Supermodel and Femina Miss India International 2011 Ankita Shorey as their new brand ambassador.
Ankita will be the ambassador for a whole new range which Gitanjali has launched, which is inspired by the beauty queen herself, to make every girl to feel like a Miss India. Ankita is the first non actress signed up by the brand. A source reveals that Ankita was chosen to endorse the brand as she has a fresh appeal and has everything to become the next star. She has that star quality which they look out for in their ambassadors and believe that she will go a long way. Ankita has bagged two big brands under their umbrella; she would be endorsing their jewellery and watch brands. This beauty certainly has nothing standing in her way; blessed with a gorgeous face and hourglass figure, she stole the show at Lakme Fashion Week by walking as showstopper for Jatin Varma, making many hearts skip a beat.
Ankita has also hosted the biggest award night in India, the 57th Annual Filmfare Awards with Sharukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor. Not even one movie old, Ankita is already competing with some established actresses for endorsement deals. Various brands have contacted her to take her on board, but she wants to strike the right deal, and she has indeed managed to do so. An insider from the industry reveals that Ankita has been approached by various production houses and big banners as well to cast her but she seems to be very choosy. Ankita says, “Your first film is always the most crucial film as it establishes your base in the industry. I will take up a project only when the right one comes my way and when I sign on the dotted line, the world would know of it. Currently I am enjoying the space I am in. I have resumed playing badminton; I have hired a private coach who makes me practice the game to my last drop of sweat during my free time. I am living my life to the fullest.”
