Shahrukh Khan, who turned 48 today, expressed his gratitude for the love bestowed on him by his fans. The superstar took to Twitter to thank his fans for gathering outside his house Friday night with crackers and his posters. The actor stays with his family in his bungalow Mannat in suburban Bandra here.

Shahrukh posted on the micro-blogging website Friday night. Touted as the king of romance, the actor has enjoyed much adulation for his films like “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge“, “Dil To Pagal Hai“, “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai“, “Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham” and “Jab Tak Hai Jaan“.
He proved his versatility by featuring in action films like “Don 2” and issue-based films like “My Name Is Khan“, “Chak De! India” and “Swades“.
The actor also thanked viewers for making him the subject of their admiration.
“‘The mark of one born with noble qualities is being born without envy’- Francois. Now because of your love, I envy no one. Thanks all for ennobling me,” he added Saturday.
The actor was last seen in Rohit Shetty’s “Chennai Express” and is now busy with Farah Khan‘s “Happy New Year”.
