Harper’s Bazaar celebrates its fourth anniversary with a mega ‘Why don’t you’ Issue. Katrina Kaif sports graphic prints on the cover that channels 60’s glamour.
Mumbai, 9th March 2013 – Harper’s BAZAAR, the world’s oldest fashion magazine with 27 international editions, has successfully completed 4 years in India.
The Fourth Anniversary Issue of BAZAAR, themed ‘Why Don’t You’, takes a leaf out of the life of its fabulous and path-breaking international editor Diane Vreeland, whose legendary column by the same name was renowned for its sometimes extravagant, sometimes outrageous and sometimes just plain, good fashion advice. With this issue, Bazaar India not only urges its readers to break out of their comfort zone and try new things, but also tracks avant garde works and personalities across various spheres.
In its special tall format, the issue features a fashion shoot with 15 Indian designers who reinterpret Diane Vreeland’s advice in their trademark style, while designers Giorgio Armani, Roberto Cavalli, Tommy Hilfiger and Peter Dundas offer styling tips in their reinterpretation of Why Don’t You…? Read exclusive interviews with designer Ashish Soni and Rei Kawakubo, there is also Christian Louboutin, who is captured with new best friend Susanne Roshan, as he readies to open his next store in India. Renowned jewellery designers, beauty pros and style-setters give readers insider tips and suggestions, apart from tons of fashion advice on how to embrace the new season.
A legend in this lifetime and Bazaar’s new global fashion director, Carine Roitfeld, gives us a sneak peek into her fashion philosophy. This special anniversary issue features on the cover the reigning queen of Bollywood, KATRINA KAIF, as she channels ‘60s glamour and graphic prints in a striking fashion shoot. This is the second time Katrina has graced the anniversary issue of Bazaar. This is the fifth cover I’ve shot for Harper’s Bazaar, India. It was fabulous!”
