Stars dazzle at Vipin Sharma’s Meisner Technique workshop through IIFWA
After having played an aggressive father in Taare Zameen Part, Vipin Sharma is now focusing on imparting his acting skills to the new comers on the field. The Canada based actor has brought to India the vision of the most insightful acting teachers in the world Sanford Meisner through Indian Independent Filmmakers Worldwide Association (IIFWA) who has brushed many legendary actors in North America and Europe.
Over 80 film professionals including actors of the likes of Priyanshu Chatterjee, Ashmit Patel, Shreya, Rajendra Saxena, directors Shriram Raghavan, Tarun Sahani, Srinivas Bashyam among others were part of the workshop to cheer their co-actor and friend.
The IIFWA aims at grooming not only actors but also directors, writers or anyone who is interested in understanding how to create credible characters. Vipin Sharma a graduate from the National School of Drama (NSD), a seasoned actor had quit acting for more then a decade. His desire to come back took him to Jacqueline McClintock the only Meisner expert in Canada. The impact of the classes was so strong that Vipin decided to return to India and try his luck in Bollywood. Being a member of IIFW, Vipin is holding interactive workshops promoting the Meisners technique, which will lend an insight into performer’s mind through various exercises.
After being nominated for the Best Actor in a Supporting Role for Screen Awards and Cineblitz, Vipin Sharma is currently working in Lamhaa directed by Rahul Dholakia and Paan Singh Tomar directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia.
