After WWE star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson another wrestler is joining the big family of The Fast and Furious franchise, it is John Cena.
A month ago Vin Diesel posted a video that was quite a teaser to John Cena’s anticipated role in the franchise. Now John Cena also posted about his next film, officially announcing that he will indeed be part of the ninth instalment. And it looks like he’s all set to hustle right into the popular series.
John Cena shared, “For nearly 20 years, the Fast Franchise has entertained fans and created some of the biggest cinematic moments in history. It’s an incredible honor to join this franchise and this family.”
John Cena and his fans look forward to seeing him in the film, there’s some buzz around The Rock sitting this one out.
While that is a bummer for Rock fans, but they needn’t be all that disappointed as he will soon be seen in Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw, a spinoff set to release on August 1, 2019. Idris Elba and Jason Statham will be joining Dwayne Johnson for the spinoff.
