Actress turned producer and now author, Pooja Bhatt is set to bear it all in her upcoming debut book, which she will co-author, chronicles her battle with alcohol and kicking the habit. It has been 10 months since she has left liquor.
Pooja Bhatt made the big announcement on social media. Pooja found fame with roles in “Daddy”, “Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin”, “Sadak” and “Zakhm”. As a director, she has helmed “Paap”, “Kajraare” and “Jism 2” among others.
It was in March this year that Pooja spoke to journalist Roshmila Bhattacharya on her battle with the bottle saying, “If I didn’t quit now, I’d have drank myself to the grave.”
Pooja Bhatt was last seen in “Everybody Says I’m Fine!” in 2001, post that the actress hasn’t done any movies. She married famous VJ Manish Makhija in 2003 but separated in 2014.
Her book will be co-authored with Bhattacharya, and will be published by Penguin India.
