Vidya in her new role as the wicked one, in her forthcoming film by Vishal Bhardwaj – Ishqiya, is putting in an extra effort to get the right UP dialect.
So typical of her to get into the act of actually getting into the character she portrays. She is taking lessons from a tutor to learn the authentic UP language, even though she has a good command over Hindi, despite being a South Indian.
The film story is based in Gorakhpur where the local langaguage spoken is UP Hindi. The movie is directed by Abhishek Chaubey, Vishal Bhardwaj’s assistant.
The movie is all about a con lady who takes an uncle and a nephew for a royal ride by spinning a web of love and romance. Arshad and Naseer play the role of nephew and uncle and Vidya plays the conwoman! Vidya eyes with all that wicked glint, will be something to watch in yet another interesting role she will don!
