News was viral that Shahid Kapoor’s Brother Ishaan Khattar will be seen in the remake of Marathi film Sairat, making his debut movie in Bollywood but Ishaan refutes that fact.
It was widely reported that Ishaan is paired opposite Jhanvi Kapoor in Sairat remake, helmed by Shashank Khaitan under Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions but young actor denies it.
“No I think you’re mistaken, that film is not shooting. My first movie is Beyond the Clouds and god willing the movie release sometimes this year” said Ishaan, when asked about movie with Jhanavi Kapoor.
Ishaan Khattar has opted for an unconventional debut in the industry. He will be seen in Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi’s next, Beyond The Clouds. The first look poster of the film was revealed at the prestigious Berlin Film Festival.
“The shoot of the film is complete” adds Ishaan, when asked about the progress of the film.
Ishaan was spotted at Okja Red carpet screening and young actor stated he enjoy world cinema, as he doesn’t discriminate among movies.
“I watch a lot of international films. I don’t bring discrimination among films. I watch movies from all the countries. I thoroughly enjoy watching films from world” adds Ishaan.
Ishaan Khattar has worked as an assistant director on Udta Punjab to understand the process of making a film. He also had a small appearance of 20 minutes into the film, right before cops raid Shahid’s party. The film starred Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh in the lead role.
