Sonal will be making her big screen debut in the most coveted project of Vishesh Films Raaz 2. It’s still not on paper. Sonal Chauhan seems to be one of the most sought after names in the modeling world. Apart from Lays, her Ponds campaign has also earned her lots of recognition. She was a Miss India finalist in 2005 and also went to win Miss World Tourism title in 2005 in Miri, Malaysia.
Poor Publicity lead Aggar to downhill
Tusshar Kapoor attributes the non-performance of Aggar at the box office to poor publicity. “Normally, the poor publicity of a film is attributed to the stars who don’t give dates for the publicity. But I was more than willing to give out dates for the publicity. Those dates went perpetually to waste. Though I liked the script and Anant Mahadevanji has done justice to it, the promotion wasn’t aggressive enough.” Tusshar is more likely to compensate this loss with Priyadarshan’s Dhol, which is coming up this week. He says “I had a ball working with Priyan and my co-stars Kunal Khemu, Sharman Joshi and Rajpal Yadav. I can’t say I’m tired of doing these boys’ comedies. That’s what is working at the box office.”
Starcast of Mission Istanbul
Suniel Shetty’s eagerly-awaited production of the global espionage thriller Mission Istanbul starcast is yet to be finalized. There are two female leads. One is Shreya Saran. The other girl yet to be decided. The starcast for now is Zayed Khan, Suniel Shetty, Viviek Oberoi, Shabbir Ahluwaila, Shreya Sharan and newcomer Niketan Dheer. Abhishek Bachchan is putting in a guest appearance in Mission Istanbul.
Subhash Ghai’s next is Yuvraj
Subhash Ghai has moved on to his next film Yuvraaj which stars Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Zayed Khan and Boman Irani in lead roles. Yuvraaj is a musically entertaining extravaganza. The film has a huge budget, around 50 crores. It was shot in Europe, U.K., and western Russia. Salman Khan and Anil Kapoor will be doing roles they have never done before. It’s the first time that Salman is acting in Subhah’s film. Choreography is by Shaimak Davar. The music of the film is done by A R Rahman who had earlier composed the superhit music of Taal for Ghai. Probably we will get to see Subhash doing a cameo. It may release by April 2008.
