Talented and versatile Actor Vicky Kaushal is out with pre-teaser and official poster of his first action outing URI, based in real life covert operation known as Surgical Strike.
The actor took to his social media profile and shared the official poster. He captioned it, “In the early hours of 29th September 2016, Indian soldiers avenged those who were martyred in the URI attacks. The film, directed by Aditya Dhar, is based on the Uri attack of September 2016, when terrorists from Pakistan attacked a military base in Uri in Jammu and Kashmir leaving 19 Indian soldiers dead. Eleven days later, the Indian Army retaliated with a series of surgical strikes on terrorist camps across the border.
The film also co-stars Yami Gautam, Kirti Kulhari, Paresh Rawal, Mohit Raina and Ujjwal Chopra in pivotal roles along with many others. The film is said to be shot in Serbia and parts of India.
Vicky plays the role of a lead commander-in-chief who leads the surgical strike against Pakistani terrorists. Yami will play the role of an intelligence officer and will be acting alongside Vicky in the film.
Actor and Member of Parliament Paresh Rawal will be seen playing the role of the National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.
The film is produced under Ronnie Screwvala’s banner RSVP. The film releases on 11th Jan 2019.
