After sharing screen space in RamLeela and Padmaavat, real life couple – Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone – are all set to share screen space as married couple in forthcoming sports drama 83– The Film.
The makers of 83, welcomed Deepika Padukone on board, as she will be seen playing the role of Romi Bhatia, wife of Kapil Dev.
The official handle of Nadiadwala Grandson dropped the confirmation and still from the sets. Duo Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone will once again treat their fans with their on-screen chemistry in their upcoming film 83. Ranveer Singh is playing the role of Kapil Dev in 83 and Deepika Padukone is set to play Kapil Dev’s wife Romi Bhatia in the film.
Apart from starring 83, Deepika will also star in Chhapaak, a film based on the life of acid attack survivour Laxmi Agarwal, and is also producing the film.
The film is directed by Kabir Khan and produced by Reliance Entertainment. The film also stars Jiiva, Ammy Virk, Harrdy Sandhu, Pankaj Tripathi, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, Sahil Khattar and Chirag Patil, reprising the India national cricket team that won the 1983 Cricket World Cup.
