German model and Bollywood actress Evelyn Sharma is thankful to the makers of the 2013 film “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” for giving her a role, which ended up giving her more visibility, and hence more projects. It is her role as Lara, a beauty-without-brains, in the movie, which attracted filmmaker David Dhawan to cast her in the forthcoming entertainer “Main Tera Hero“. In the new film, Evelyn plays Veronica.
I feel very flattered to have got the role of Veronica. She’s a super sexy and confident girl, and of course comedy is my favourite genre. Working with David sir, the master of comedy, has been a dream of mine and when he asked me to be part of ‘Main Tera Hero‘, I could only say yes.
I feel very lucky that despite of being new to this industry I have the opportunity to work with some of the best directors in Bollywood. I am extremely thankful to Ayan (Mukherji) and Karan Johar for giving me such a fantastic opportunity with ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani‘ as it opened so many doors for me.

When the shoot of the movie was about to begin, “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” had hit theaters last year, and senior Dhawan loved Evelyn’s work in it.
