On Saturday, Bhumi Pednekar spoke to media about Toilet Ek Prem Katha and the message it wishes to give, she stated, Having a bathroom is your birth right.
Primarily Toliet ek prem Katha is a prem katha , a great love story between these simple sweet characters. You won’t even realize how through their love story you have been given an important message. I have a feeling it’s really going to bring about a massive change in our society. It’s going to encourage a lot of women not to settle for anything less in their marriage and to fight for their rights. And having a bathroom is your right and you must make sure that you get one.
Tolet ek prem katha’s lead actress Bhumi also spoke about the film being original and not a copy of any short film, she said, “I am unaware of it, so it doesn’t make sense that I comment on this, but our film is an original.”
Bhumi was asked if she felt pressure that the film’s release was going to clash with Jab Harry met Sejal. Bhumi answered, “As an actor I have done my job of going and acting in the film and rest is up to the audiences. And of course a lot of love and luck that afilm gathers is after the film releases. My job is done so I think the pressure is on the directors of both the films.”
Toilet Ek Prem Katha directed by Shree Narayan Singh is co-produced by Akshay Kumar and Neeraj Pandey. The film starring Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar is a comedy film and a governmental campaign to improve the sanitation conditions in India. The film will be released on 11th August 2017.
