Young singer and music composer Armaan Malik appeared on music composer Salim Merchant radio show #Salim on Wednesday in Mumbai. While interacting with media Salim stated that he has taken break from work since last 25 years.
After composing song for Jab Harry Met Sejal, Tubelight, Jagga Jasoos and Behen Hogi Teri… Pritam has had a busy four months and it has been so gruelling that the musician has announced a break of “year or year and a half”. Pritam posted about this happening in his life on his facebook account on 8 August.
Reacting to that, Salim said, “I have taken break from last 25 years. I am not working. I don’t understand why we are taking breaks because what we do is not work. It’s our religion and devotion. I feel I am fortunate that from last 25-26 years, I haven’t worked, I am on vacation”.
When asked about him whether there are any stories behind each song, he said, “Offcourse.. behind every song, there are special stories. My show #Salim is based on this concept. I feel behind each trendsetting song, there are amazing stories so that stories, I narrate on my show. From this show, I get to learn a lot and with that audience also get entertained”.
When asked Armaan, for which actor he want to lend his voice in a film, he said, “From long point of time, I want to sing for Varun Dhawan. I have also told him that, we should collaborate on something and he also told me that he wants a song in my voice so I hope very soon I will work with him because I think, we both have connect with youth so if we come together for a song then audience will also really like it”
When asked Armaan about his upcoming projects, he said, “I have been working in two films including Baaghi 2 and Golmaal Again, in both these films I have one song each. Its special thing for me as for the first time, I am singing for Ajay Devgn and it’s great to be singing for him at the age of 22. My last song Goggle from Mubarakan, for which I collaborated with Sonu Nigam, in which he sang for Arjun Kapoor and I sang for Anil sir so it was good role reversal for us and all these things are happening in my career is really exciting and amazing”.
