September 7, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): It could qualify as a major coincidence. But when the first official screening of Dabangg for the cast and crew took place on Saturday night at Adlabs in Film City, Katrina Kaif and the rest of the cast and crew of Tees Maar Khan were shooting right in front of the theatre where Dabangg was being screened.
And as Salman’s brothers and the rest of the family walked into the theatre, it was quite evident that they were in the mood to invite Katrina and the Tees Maar Khan team to watch Dabangg. Apparently Salman wanted the Tees Maar Khan team to join them.
Says an eyewitness, “Sure enough, Salman’s sister Alvira walked out from the theatre to where Katrina, Farah Khan and gang were shooting. Alvira personally invited Farah’s team to watch Dabangg with them. Unfortunately, it was not possible for Katrina and the rest of the team to join the Dabangg audience since Farah’s shooting went on till late.”
The eyewitness says Katrina and Alvira interacted like really close buddies that evening.
Confirming these incidents, Sonu Sood says, “It’s true Farah Khan and her crew were shooting nearby. But they couldn’t join us.”
Mr. and Mrs. Shatrughan Sinha were also conspicuous by their absence at the screening. The couple is too petrified of watching its darling daughter in advance. They would rather see the film when it is released.
